The Social Progress in India report captures the progress made by the country across three dimensions – Basic Human Needs, Foundations of Wellbeing, and Opportunity. Each dimension has four components. Using a comprehensive framework with a set of 95 indicators at the state level and 63 indicators at the district level, the report also highlights the social progress made across the Aspirational Districts of India.
Following a multidimensional approach, the Social Progress Index developed will act as a key enabler and tool for policymakers in the coming years for achieving sustained socio-economic growth.
