Dr. Amit Kapoor delivered a talk on “Diagnostics: Assessing India’s Current Competitiveness” at the International research symposium titled “Building a Competitive India: Leveraging the B-ready Framework”. The symposium was organised by Jindal Global Business School, O.P. Jindal Global University on May 17th, 2024.

This captivating event centered around the theme “Building a Competitive India: Leveraging the B-ready Framework” draws inspiration from the influential “Competitiveness Roadmap for India at 100” report, which originated from Professor Michael Porter’s enlightening discourse with the Hon’ble Prime Minister in 2017. The India Competitiveness Initiative, a collaborative effort involving EAC-PM, The Institute for Competitiveness led by Dr. Amit Kapoor, Prof. Michael Porter, and Dr. Christian Ketels from Harvard Business School, underscores the commitment to elevating prosperity and quality of life for all citizens.

Building upon the visionary framework outlined in this report, our esteemed panel of industry leaders and researchers will delve into key insights, exploring strategies from the World Bank’s B-ready framework to align with India’s ambitious goals for 2047. The discussion will particularly focus on India’s competitiveness aspirations and the tenth pillar of the framework—insolvencies.
